Many people are surprised, at just how much more you can benefit from your skincare products if you use them in the right order- this includes everything from face mists to cleansers, serum, cream and masks.
Step 1 – Cleanse
It is crucial that your skincare products land on a foundation of clean skin. Therefore it is important that you always remove your makeup at night, and cleanse your skin in the morning if needed. Try some different products to determine whether your skin is better off with cleansing milk, oil or foam. Get more cleansing tips here.
Step 2 – Exfoliate
For most people, the daily exfoliation can be taken care of by washing your face with a wet cotton flannel – preferably under the shower. The flannel removes dirt, as well as dry and dead skin cells. You can be a bit more thorough a few times a month and use a scrub, peeling or deep cleansing mask.
Step 3 – Face mist
For the third step, give your face a few squirts of face mist, which will boost the skin with moisturizing ingredients and neutralizes the lime that Danish water exposes your skin to. Step 4 - Serum
Now you are pursuing active skincare! Begin with a serum that contains active ingredients that are selected based on your skins needs. Due to substantial water content, serum can contain close to 100% active ingredients, whereas day creams usually contain around 4 percent. On the other hand, you do need the cream to protect and soften your skin.
Step 5 – Face oil
Oil is essential for retaining moisture and at the same time contains nurturing ingredients. Just a few drops can do wonders in places where your skin is dry or sensitive.
Step 6 – Moisturizing facial cream
Now it’s all about retaining that barrier you have created in order to keep your skin moist, soft and tight. Pick a day cream with ingredients that fit your skin’s special needs and preferably with SPF. After this, you are ready to apply makeup
